Shingle ROOF SCHEDULING INFORMATION
At RCV Roofing, Siding & Gutters, we’re here to guide you through the entire process. Here’s what you need to know before we arrive, what to expect during the installation and afterward.
The process of your
Your SHINGLED ROOF replacement or install
Before Install
- An exterior power outlet will be needed for the installation process. If you do not have one, please let us know in advance so that we can bring a generator.
- Please have your vehicles out of the garage and driveway for our crew in the morning (we may also need the spots near the mailbox). We do not want to block you in, if you need to leave.
- If there is a car left in the driveway, your install date may be moved.
- We will not be responsible for damage to cars left in the driveway.
- Please have any fragile valuables that are hanging on the outermost walls (walls with windows) removed, along with anything that may become damaged within 15 feet surrounding your home/building on the outside.
If you have a satellite or antenna, please let us know if you want it removed and thrown away or re-installed.If you want the satellite reinstalled, you will want to call your satellite provider to schedule a re-calibration. Sometimes we get it back correctly, others we do not, and we may have to move the location slightly to screw into a rafter.

Day of Install
- Materials will generally be delivered the day of your install. Our crew will arrive on the day of install between 6:30am-8am depending on sunrise.
- Your install may start in the afternoon depending on our daily schedule and how many roofs we have scheduled for that day.
- A dump trailer will be backed up close to the home/building, which will be removed from the site after completion of the job.
- There is no need to be home on the day of install. There will be lots of falling debris and nails in the yard until we have cleaned up and swept with the magnet.
NOTE: Extra material and metal will be picked up the following business day after all contracted jobs are completed. If you see any material or trash that we may have missed, please do not hesitate to let us know.
After Install
- We will come out and perform an RCV Roofing, Siding, & Gutters Quality Control Inspection. We will look for any issues or imperfections. If any are found, we will either fix it on-site or a within a few days after. We will also pick up the remaining material and do an additional clean up.
- RCV Roofing, Siding, & Gutters orders extra material for the job so that we do not have to make multiple trips. There are no refunds for remaining material on the job.
- After completion, you may notice your shingles look wavy, don't worry! Standard asphalt shingles feature an adhesive strip that softens during warm weather, especially when the sun’s rays hit the roof directly. When the shingles heat up, they become flexible and the adhesive bonds the shingles in place. Before new shingles seal down, they can look a little lumpy and uneven, but once the roof gets hot enough, they will soften, flatten and form a permanent seal.
GUTTERS: If you are getting a gutter replacement, it will generally be 1-2 weeks after the siding installation, weather permitting. Depending on the season, the wait time may be longer.
PAYMENT TERMS & WARRANTY
Cash Job: Payment is due for the amount of each trade upon completion of each trade (roof, gutters, soffit/fascia, insulation). You will be invoiced upon completion of each trade by email. We accept check, cash, credit card and bank transfer. An additional fee is applied to bank transfer (1%) and credit card (3.5%) payments. Online payment links are available upon request.
Insurance Claim: Your first insurance check amount, deductible and any upgrade/additional work is expected upon completion of each trade (roof, gutter, soffit/fascia, insulation). If you have provided RCV Roofing, Siding, & Gutters with your insurance loss summary, your depreciation request and paperwork will be sent to your insurance company via fax or email on the following day (we do all of this for you!). Once the recoverable depreciation amount is received, the final amount is expected immediately. Late fees will incur without regular communication.
Financing Job: Upon immediate completion of the job, we will send your completion certificate to the finance company. Financed funds are directly deposited into our account a few days after. All amounts over the financed amount will need to be paid in full upon completion of the job. Your financed amount will be directly communicated with you through the financing company. Any amount not being financed will be treated as cash job payment terms.
PAYMENT TYPES ACCEPTED: Cash, Check, All Major Credit Cards, Insurance Claims Proceeds and Financing. Promotional specials or discounts are not valid with financed jobs. Select financing plans have a transaction fee. A 3.5% transaction fee will be applied if paying with a credit/debit card.
Warranty Paperwork: Once you’re paid in full, we will register the warranty on your behalf and email you the roofing warranty packet within 15-30 days.
