Disclaimers
Color Match: Repairs will be made in the best color and brand match available. New material being used in the repair will not match to stained, old or faded material. If color matching is a high priority, please request an estimate for the entire section.
Satellite: Please let us know what you would like to do with your satellite (re-install it or throw it away). We are not responsible for satellite calibration. If you have a satellite on the roof, siding, or fascia, you will want to call your satellite provider to schedule a re-calibration. Sometimes we may re-install it in the same spot, sometimes we may not. We may have to move the location slightly to screw the satellite onto a rafter or move it out of a valley. If we must replace decking under the satellite, it will need to be recalibrated. We will not re-install it on metal siding or roofing and do not recommend it to be installed on metal.
Decking: 2 sheets/planks of decking are included at no charge. Additional sheets are $65 each to cover the material and labor costs. A decking sheet/plank is needed to replace any bad or rotten areas that may be present or to patch vent holes. All new decking will be needed if your house has 3/8” plywood (this does not comply with current code). It is up to RCV Roofing, Siding, & Gutters to deem what is needed for warranty and building code purposes.
Nails/Screws: RCV Roofing, Siding, & Gutters will perform reasonable pick-up and magnet sweeps of nails. Please note that there will be some that are not found. If you would like another clean-up, please do not hesitate to ask. You may find more that were caught in downspouts after it rains. We are not responsible for injuries or flat tires as a result of nails not picked up.
New Construction: Estimate is based on plans, quantities are subject to changes based on what was used and actual building dimensions.
Gutter Guard Re-Install: We do not warrant gutters guards that were re-installed, which were not originally purchased and installed by us.
Gutter Guards: We cannot warrant guards clogging from debris. Guards will still need to be clean off at times. We cannot warrant water run-off from the roof, over the guards on steeper roof pitches, also depending on type of roof.
Skylights: Skylights cannot be warrantied without the skylight being fully replaced. We are not responsible for interior work as a result of the skylight replacement.
Chimneys: Brick or stone chimneys cannot be warrantied if the mortar or stone is in poor condition. RCV Roofing, Siding, & Gutters may tarp the chimney to determine the cause of the leak before re-doing any of our work.
Yard Signs: Yard signs must be present for a minimum of 14 days after install. Yard signs are also used as a marker for crews and for materials being dropped off.
New Construction: Final amount is subject to change if construction is modified in any way, if plans were incorrect or did not show specifics.
Fascia Board: If rotten/bad fascia boards are found during replacement and it is not in the estimate, we will need to replace them to be able to continue. We will call ahead with the cost of the additional repairs to get approval before proceeding.
29ga: All rib (exposed fastener) roofs come with a 29-gauge metal panel unless otherwise noted in the estimate.
Metal Waiver: A metal roofing layover (no-tear-off) wavier will need to be signed in order to proceed with a metal roof install over a layer of shingles.
Insulation: Due to some insulation areas being lower or higher, more/less insulation may be needed to reach code height. You will be charged for what is used to reach this height unless otherwise noted.
Underground Drainage: We are not responsible for any in-ground drainage and piping.
Acts of God: We are not responsible for damage related to weather, including high winds, tree limbs, snow, ice dams or hail.
Outside Repair Area: We do not warrant any area outside of what we repair due to other materials and workmanship present.
Drywall/Nail Pops: RCV Roofing, Siding, & Gutters is not responsible for any damage to drywall or plaster that occurs during the ordinary course of RCV Roofing, Siding, & Gutters’ work, whether or not such damage was pre-existing, exacerbated by RCV Roofing, Siding, & Gutters’ work, discovered after the start of work, or originating after the start of work.
Landscaping: We are not responsible for damage to landscaping.
Vent Boots: We are not responsible for leaks due to dry-rotted, rusted, torn or damaged vent boots.
Waviness: Shingles will need to have direct sunlight to seal down and lay flat. They may look wavy until they have completely sealed down. Colder months take much longer to do so.
Gutter Streaking: We are not responsible for streaks on gutters as a result of debris, water run-off or roof material oils.
Siding Light Fixtures: We are not responsible for light fixtures that are removed and cannot be-reinstalled during a siding job. At times an electrician or new light may be needed, due to age or wiring.
